Introducing Stirling Academy Artistic Director:-
Glen Mortimer comes from an acting background. It was in the mid eighties when he become known as a professional actor gaining featured parts in Emmerdale Farm, At home with the Braithwaites, Heartbeat, Last of the Summer Wine, The New Statesman and All Creatures Great & Small to name a few. In addition to this, Glen has recently played ‘Neville’ in Coronation Street and ‘The Beadle’ in BBC’s Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell’. As well as numerous commercials, Glen’s theatre experience is also vast with lead roles in Allo Allo, Rough Justice, Neville’s Island, Two, King Lear & Up Pompeii. Glen now teaches the adult classes on Saturday mornings.
Lisa Barton teaches the adult advanced & MASTERCLASS actors. Lisa has been at Stirling Academy since the beginning and has a wealth of experience. If you want to improve as an actor then Lisa’s the one to help! She has put on showcases & productions in many places such as the Lowry & Robert Powell Theatres.
Abby Nicholls is a professional young actress in her own right and teaches the youngsters here at Stirling Academy. She also teaches LAMDA (the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts) to our youngsters.
Nathan teaches classes in Radcliffe & Bolton, he also runs the children’s agency side of Stirling Management.

A selection of success stories….
Dan Stanton Started training at Stirling Academy and completed all his courses. it wasn’t long before we spotted his talent and offered him representation through Stirling Management.
Dan is now being submitted for auditions and has recently been featured in the new Lemsip commercial.
Oliver Dobson has been coming to our acting classes at our Academy for over 12 months now.
He has shown dedication and enthusiasm, along with natural talent! As a result of this, Oliver secured his first television commercial for a well known food brand and we have plans to push him even further..
Eve Gordon trained here at Stirling Academy and even attended classes whilst playing ‘Caitlin’ in Coronation Street.
Eve taught LAMDA to our students here at our studios and reached Gold Medal. Since then Eve has continued to act in various project and we wish her all the very best for the future.
Stewart Crank trained here at the academy for a couple of years before going to University. Whilst training here he was successful on a couple of commercial auditions for United Utilities & McDonalds. Stewart is currently performing for Disney in Tokyo. Stewart is very musical and tours often throughout the county & abroad.
Lewis Linford travelled here from Hull each week to train, how dedicated is that! It was no surprise that he got picked up by ITV to star as Gamekeeper Lee Naylor in Emmerdale.
Lewis has also appeared in many stage productions including John Godbers ‘Bouncers’. We’re very proud of Lewis and hope to see him again on TV soon.
Saira Chowdhry was another talented young actress who trained here at our Academy.
‘A natural for TV’ as Glen put it. You may remember Saira who played Anita Roy in Hollyoaks.
She has since appeared in Doctors, Coronation Street and Crime Stories.
